Yay New Job!

Yay New Job!

Yay new job! Boo, not a lot of money, and I have to relocate within 30 days of being hired (my stipulation, not theirs - driving an hour each way sucks for me). I'm trying to budget myself. As far as moving expenses, I should be ok - I am lucky enough to have some things saved and a mother who will help. However, I've never lived on my own before, so I wanted some input... Grocery budgeting...it's just me. I'm more than happy to live off of cheese sandwiches. I try to eat healthily, but that can be off of frozen meals, bagged lettuce, cheapest stuff around. I don't care much. I will have to budget for veggies for both my turtle and lizards I will own soon (yay), but I figure as I will also eat said veggies, and they have but little bellies, that shouldn't be too big of a deal. I also will have two cats, so there will be litter to buy and catfood, but I do tend to buy those things in bulk at Costco/Sams, at least until my memberships run out at the beginning of the year. I was thinking $150 a month for food and pet supplies is feasible, and possibly even $100 can be done. Thoughts? Also, if anyone's in the Pittsburgh area - help! I have no idea what rent will be like, and utilities are a mystery too - again, never had to deal with those. What's a cable package usually like (with phone/tv/internet)? I remember someone saying 70ish a month, which would be my biggest utility of course, so I need to budget CLOSELY.
