I know a lot of questions have been asked about bugs before. And I've had ants in my apartment before and successfully gotten rid of them. But this time I'm kind of at a loss.
I moved into my apartment on June 1st. The previous tenant had been out for a week (I know this because I'm actually subleasing), so there hadn't been any food in the apartment in that amount of time. When I was moving in, I noticed a couple of ants on the counter. I checked all the cabinets. No food. I cleaned everything pretty thoroughly and killed the ants that I saw.
The next morning, I got up, and they were back. Err, I guess they were new ones.
Now every other time I've had ants, there would be a ton of them, and they'd walk in a line, or at least lead me to the place where they were getting in the house. Not these ants. They wander around on the counter looking lost all day. I spent a good 20 minutes watching them one day, and they went absolutely nowhere. Every day I kill them, and the next day they are back. And there are never more than about 5 of them, unless food gets left out. But how do I get rid of them if I can't figure out where they are coming from? Or how can I figure out where they are coming from?
