Aromatic tea -> sachets!

Aromatic tea -> sachets!

I bought a box of Stash Double Bergamot Earl Grey (bagged, each bag in a foil pouch). Once I brewed myself a cup, I found it bitter and way too much bergamot for me! I was wondering what I was going to do with it, I'm the only tea drinker in the house and I don't have tea-drinking friends. Then I realized that the strong aroma might make a great sachet or air freshener. I slit one end of a foil packet and pop it in my clothes drawers and I have two hanging in my closet. Smells good! I'll have to pop a couple in my wicker trunk that I store out-of-season clothes in. I don't know if the oils of unbrewed black tea in a bag would stain clothes but I figure leaving the foil on protects my clothes. Everything smells great, without the artificial chemical smell of most air fresheners and a lot of so-called "natural" potpourri (and much cheaper!). No wheezing from this asthmatic either (I'm one of those people that you have to keep the Yankee Candles away from). I'd like to try this with other highly aromatic teas, like some herbals.
My favorite soup, Borscht.
