Best cellular for Verizon Country
I was a Verizon customer for 12 years, and then had a problem after re-signing a 2 year contract, in that the phone would not work where I had always had service. I was unable to resolve the problem with Verizon and cancelled the service. I then went with MetroPCS, which was about $10 more monthly for unlimited talk/text/picture messaging/internet (around $50 monthly). That seemed like a lot of money to me, but I loved my Nokia 6235i. After less than two years, I took a leap and switched to PagePlus Cellular. It uses the Verizon network, is prepaid, and if you want a good phone, you have to buy it somewhere like eBay. Which is another reason it was taking a plunge for me, because I was not a fan of eBay and wasn't sure I could trust it enough to make such a purchase. I went ahead and did it, got an LG 8300, and am so happy with my savings that I thought it was about time I shared it here. The camera aspect of the cell phone is important to me, and with MetroPCS, I could send the pics to the internet at no extra charge, so this was an additional challenge. Fortunately, the phone I got has a cable available, and with BitPim, I can take and transfer pics to the computer with the cable that I got from amazon.com for $1.99 plus shipping. PagePlus time expires at 120 days. If you buy a refill, your unused minutes are carried over. I bought an $80 card, which gives me $168 of time at 12 cents a minute (1400 minutes). I can't see that my service will exceed $20 monthly. If you are a person who doesn't use a lot of cell phone time, you can save oodles of money. If you are in Verizon Country, I wholeheartedly recommend this. I am seriously thrilled!
