Hello everyone. Recently I had a roommate stay with me for a couple of weeks before his big move out of state. He was an awesome roommate for all intents and purposes - however I get much worse at cleaning up when I have people over. In the course of the two weeks I had a large cup of soda sitting on the coffee table that I didn't put away when I was done. The next day the dog managed to knock it over and spill it on the carpet. I came home to a big brown spot that had already dried. :( My apartment had brand new carpet installed for me and I have been trying really hard to keep it clean. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get this stain out short of renting a carpet cleaner or having professionals in? I looked at some products in the grocery store but I'm not sure what works and what doesn't, or if there is a homemade recipe that will work just as well. I would obviously like to clean my carpet as cheaply as possible, although if professionals are the only option then they are still cheaper than losing my deposit would be. Thank you in advance for your help!
