Dentists

Dentists

I have no insurance and little money. I think my tooth is infected. The dentists I've called out of the phonebook all say they don't have payment plans(even the first one I called because their website said they did have payment plans. There are over 100 more dentists listed in the phone book, should I call them all(although I don't think I could, I'm already about to cry out of confusion), or is there a better way to find a dentist that will work with poor people. I tried looking it up on google already and couldn't find anything helpful Edit: I tried 1800 dentist, they don't have any in my area There isn't a school for dentists but there is a technical school for dental assistants, I don't know if they will do anything. I tried calling but I just got put automatically on hold for a long time. I called the united way, they had 1 number for a place I might be able to go to, they said there is a really long waiting list but I guess that is what I will try now. I can't find a number to call for the local health department so I haven't tried that yet. Editedit: I tried the number united way gave me, they seemed to be a dentist at first, I told them I didn't have insurance and they said to call back because everyone was in a meeting. I called back, said the same thing, as soon as I said I have no insurance they put me through to a general clinic for some reason. I guess now I will walk downtown and see if I can get my insurance back. This seems stange to do in a medical emergency, but apparently dentists here would rather I die then go to them without insurance
