drug-free allergy help?
My husband is in Primary flight school for the Navy and isn't allowed to take any medications without a flight doctor's approval. This includes over the counter stuff, and even "normal" things like tylenol. His last flight for Primary is tomorrow, and he has developed a very sore throat due to post-nasal drip from allergies. It started last night, but he managed to fly twice today... but it's worse now, and if it doesn't get better by tomorrow evening, he's not going to fly. He REALLY wants to finish tomorrow though. We've been weeding the yard and I think that is what set it off originally... we've also had all the windows open to keep AC costs down. So... probably pollen/allergens everywhere. Oops. So today he woke up and gargled salt water, then I made him drink a big glass of water with plenty of fresh lemon juice in it. Then he drank some tea with honey and lemon, and about 12 bottles of water throughout the day. What else can he do tomorrow to try to beat this thing QUICKLY and without any drugs/medications? Thanks much!
