Hi all, IT HAS BEGUN! I have picked up a boat load of seeds and soil in the store today, all excited about spring. I have a bow window that is a great place for my seedlings, but despite many windows, my house doesn't get much direct light. This is the one place my shoe-box apartment won out- we used to have an east-facing kitchen window and door. I was thinking of having my husband install a small light in the ceiling of the bow window area to help the plants along. I am overwhelmed by the prices and variety available on ye olde internets. I've even seen suggestions that a fluorescent shop light would even work. I won't be growing them in the dark, I just need to supplement to make up for facing the wrong way and having big trees in the front yard. Any suggestions, recommendations or tales of WIN or FAIL? Thanks! :) ETA: If I bought a grow-light from lowes, what kind of base do I need to buy to go with it? (Stupid site doesn't automatically suggest the right base to go with when one views the product!) Also, how have you suspended it, I had no idea that the height had to be adjusted!! Do they make like a "gooseneck" lamp that fits them?
