I Has Seeds!

I Has Seeds!

OH took me out to Wyevale (why oh why is there always so much amazing *want* in their gift and book sections? I could go bankrupt in places like that!) to look at seeds, bulbs and bedding plants. I'm on benefits due to ill health so I can't buy too much at a time and needed to choose carefully. Along with a kneeling pad and a trowel I found a packet of Forget-Me-Not seeds for 50p and a packet of Lupin seeds for 90p. I wanted some pre-grown Impatiens and various other trays of border plants too, but I can't justify the expense all at once so am going back in a couple of weeks for those, by which time our new border will be filled back in, raked over and will have had time to settle properly. I've decided not to sow the Forget-Me-Nots (my absolute favourite flower of all time) until I have other border plants to put in, as I can then look at the adult plants and see exactly how I want things to go together. I shall also have to try very hard not to have too much blue since that is my favourite colour, heheh! So the Forget-Me-Not seeds are safely put away for future use, and I now have 18 of the Lupin seeds in seed trays on the window sill. They should show signs of growth in about three weeks and by the beginning of July they will almost certainly be established enough for planting along the back fence! I'm so excited to be gardening again; it's been far too long for me, and OH is amazing for agreeing to dig parts of his lawn up for my pleasure :)
