Mounting TV: HELP!
I might be moving into a new place soon. I have a flat sceen LCD TV that would be perfect to mount above the fireplace. And unfortunately, that's really the only suitable place for the TV. Not only that, aesthetically, I really want to make the fireplace wall a "feature" wall so I would love to mount the TV. Here's the dilemma... I have quite a few cords/cable box/two video game consoles that need to be hooked up to the TV. Is this even possible? My fiance and I play video games a lot so we can't just hook it up every so often when we want to play. I have been searching online and can't find anything. I realize that you can disguise the cords, but do I need to do a flat mount or a tilted mount? I bought a buffet and turned it into a TV stand (to accommodate the situation I'm in now), but unfortunately the buffet is too large to fit on the wall with the fireplace (it's a small, angled wall in the corner of the living room). I really don't want to have to buy another TV stand! But I don't know where the consoles for the cable box and the video game will go otherwise? I've been looking at pictures on HGTV and various other places and their TV's look so seamless. I don't understand how they accomplish this? Any help would be awesome. I'm kind of freaking out!
