We're going to be moving in about 6 months, to another state. In the 3 years we've lived here, we've accumulated alot of stuff, and I'm going to have to figure out what to keep, what I can sell, what to give away and what to toss. I suck at this. I'm always afraid of getting rid of something and then needing it later, and not being able to afford a new one. So I've got clothes that fit me before I had kids, and that I hope I will someday fit in again. The kids have tons of toys. I've got tons of fabric, much of which I really don't know when or if I will ever use. Then there's the boxes of random stuff, because my husband's approach to cleaning was "shove everything you aren't sure what to do with in a box", and he didn't help me much before he left. I am dreading doing all this organizing, and not even sure where to start. I'm thinking about Freecycling some of it, like some of our furniture, but I know the local freecycle site expects you to give before you take, and I'm wondering if there's a freecycle-type site where you can get rid of stuff in City A, move, and get credit in City B as being someone who gave a bunch of stuff. Oh, and I have 2 kids to take care of while I'm doing all this cleaning/organizing. And we're getting FIP, so I'm going to need to get a job ASAP, which is good financially since FIP barely pays enough for rent and diapers, but means I'll have even less time/energy available for all the cleaning. Any ideas on where to start? I really hate moving, and this is going to be a really difficult move.
