Tomorrow is the first plant trade that I've been to this year, and many of my gardenweb friends will be there. Tonight I got the majority of the trade ready, and I have a car load. I'll head over to Cookie's house tomorrow, and the two of us will be going together. I hope her plants and mine fit in the truck together. I have 3 good trades of Blue Ginger, 2 of Daniel Weeks Hedychium (butterfly ginger), 4 crazy big pots of crepe ginger (Costus sp.), at least 4 Sweet Dragon gingers (the only fragrant alpinia), and one hieroglyph ginger because...well, because people expect me to bring gingers. I also have two very well rooted rare pale pink bush morning glorys...the flowers look to be made of sheerest silk. A nice corn plant and an octopus tree, if someone wants them...I find them to be pretty boring. A dwarf mexican avocado. 3 pots of yellow walking iris. A snowflake scented (lemon smell) geranium. And one of the crazy colored succulents that I got last week. It turns out I bought two of the same thing, so I'll take the bigger of the two to the trade. Oh, and two or three white butterfly peas, because who can resist a flower named after a clitoris? Linnaeus was a...er...very observant gent. By tomorrow I hope to be rich in plants. Richer in plants? The only other plant trade we have planned is in October. Excitement!
