perennial herb harvest time
Here in zone 7 many herbs are ready for their first harvest. Mint, for simple syrup, plain infusion or drying Oregano for drying Thyme and Lemon Thyme for drying 2nd year parsley and cilantro leaves still taste good but seed production will be starting soon. Sage and chives are flowering...best to harvest even a bit before now but still good now. Garlic chives are ready to harvest for the leaf, later young flower buds are good. Basil, dill, baby parsley are all germinated and getting first real leaves. All can be used as micro herbs if seeded thickly.
