first of all thank you for all the inspiration you're giving me, guys. There's really lots of great stuff here.
I don't have an apartment to show, yet, but I'm going to look at two flats in Vienna on Monday. I actually prefer the one with two rooms, but if I cannot have that one, I will take the one that has just one big room. It is kind of like an "L". You can see some pictures here To see the pictures and a floor plan click on one of the first three pictures. A new window will open and if you move your cursor to one side of the picture you can move back and forward. "K.N." in the floor plan is where the kitchen is located.
I would like to divide up the room into two areas. A living-/dining room area (near the kitchen) and a bedroom area. I dislike the fact that I would have to put the bed in the front part of the room (from where you enter the room) and that you would have to cross the "bedroom" to come to the "living room" area, but I don't want the bed to near to the kitchen.
So now I'm looking at inspiration into how I can divide the room into two areas with keeping the "bedroom" as private as possible. I like having friends over, but I also don't want to "share" everything (like I am doing at the moment, since I have a much smaller room and there is no other way).
Do you guys have any ideas on that? I know it's not totally clear yet, that I will move in, but if I do I'd like to be sure that there is a good way to realize my project. I know there are the Ikea "Expedit" of course, but at the begining I probably don't have so much stuff to actually fill them with so I'd especially like to see solutions that are a bit more "closed" from begin with.
Nevertheless, more open ideas on how to divide the room properly are of course also appreciated :)
Thank you a lot in advance, and I promise to show my apartment (either that one or the one I will take eventually) in return :)
