Tiny Tip but a good one

Tiny Tip but a good one

It's not necessary to take clothes to the dry cleaners after every wear because it is not "dirty" it only smells "off" from body odor, cigarette smoke, etc... Here's what I do to get rid of the smell in my wool pants and rayon shirts, I fill my steam iron with water then add a few drops of an essential oil in the water. (EOs are expensive, but if you have one on hand, it's a good way to use it. I had some rose EO I use to mix perfume. Clove EO is inexpensive as is lavender EO) Then I iron out my clothes and they are usually good for 1-2 more wears before going to the dry cleaner. It saves about $20 or so. Another tip I use to avoid the dry cleaners is to leave my goose-down comforter out in the sunlight and let it air out all day. I can get by with taking my goose down to the dry cleaners once a year (change the covers frequently) and after 2 years, I buy another one.
