Tomatoes in hanging baskets?

Tomatoes in hanging baskets?

As the subject line would suggest I'd like to know a little about growing tomatoes in hanging baskets. I have limited room in my kitchen courtyard and hanging baskets would be the perfect solution. Will full size tomatoes do ok in them or should I stick with cherry tomatoes? Are cherry tomato plants actually any smaller or is that a silly question? Would I be better off getting one of those upside down topsy turvy tomato planters? I know they might need more fertilising and will definitely need more water this way but I don't know if there's anything else I need to consider!
