transplanted Marsh Marigolds to the tipi pole ends
6 am I used the car and took water, the clippers and shovel to the tipi. Then I went on to the gravel pit up the road and since the pit was open, I drove through to the little stream where I found three clusters of marsh marigolds! They were right on the edge of the clear stream right into the edge of the bank up to the road. I dug up two huge marsh marigolds, put them in my buckets and into the car. Too bad they were muddy on the edges. Ick. I had run out of time as willem wanted the car for 6:30 am to leave for work, so I had to hurry. I stopped and put them by the tipi so I won’t have to carry them there. I was carrying one of them around the back of the car to the tipi and stepped down and did something awful to my sore knee! Later after he dropped me off down there on his way to work, I planted them and four wild blue flag irises and four other marsh marigolds at the base of several of the poles of the tipi. Now that I’ve woven alders through the cedar poles for privacy walls, it’s looking really nice with those yellow flowers against them!
