Turkey Cutlets from the meat clearance bin

Turkey Cutlets from the meat clearance bin

I almost always shop for meat in the clearance bin at Safeway. Whatever is on sale is what I buy, and then I make our dinner menus out of that. I got a $5.99 package of turkey cutlets on clearance for only $2. I prepared them as if they were veal cutlets, first dipping them in a scrambled egg and milk liquid, and then flipping them into seasoned flour (flour, salt, pepper, garlic, onion powder) on each side. I fried them up in olive oil until they were golden brown and served them up with French's honey mustard in the squeeze bottle. The turkey cutlets were delicious! Whoever thought $2 could go that far from the meat clearance bin? Does anyone else buy meat almost exclusively from the clearance bin? Got any great deals to share?
